FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) are non-governmental organisations that operate globally to support responsible forestry.

FSC or PEFC certification verifies that certified materials or products have been identified and separated from non-certified materials throughout the supply chain, from the forest to the end user.

Any company involved in the processing or transformation of FSC-certified products must be certified to apply any FSC label to their products. Or PEFC certified to apply a PEFC label to a PEFC product. Without certification, market opportunities may be lost, and sales potential reduced.
